Recently, Hebei Yongyang Special Steel Group Co., Ltd. successfully passed the audit conducted by China Classification Society Certification Company and officially obtained the certification certificate issued according to GB/T 46566-2025 Requirements for Greenhouse Gas Management Systems.

This achievement marks a new stage for the company's greenhouse gas management, with full-process carbon control entering a more standardized, systematic and regulated development phase.



The certification covers all greenhouse gas management activities related to the production processes of the company's rail steel, structural steel, round steel and flat steel products, including sintering, ironmaking, steelmaking, rolling and supporting processes.

Since the establishment of the management system, the company's Environmental Protection Department has taken the lead in coordination with various business departments. Following the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) management approach, Yongyang Special Steel systematically completed system planning and documentation, and continuously verified the effectiveness of system operation through trial implementation, internal audits and management reviews.

The expert audit team conducted a comprehensive evaluation through multiple methods, including document review, on-site inspection, process verification and data traceability analysis. The assessment covered the company's greenhouse gas management system construction, carbon emission control throughout production processes, energy-saving and carbon reduction technologies, as well as green operation practices.

The audit confirmed that Yongyang Special Steel's greenhouse gas management system complies with national standards in both construction and operation.



In recent years, Yongyang Special Steel has taken its overall relocation project as an opportunity to systematically promote the integrated development of green manufacturing and intelligent manufacturing.

The company follows the development philosophy of “invest one step ahead, achieve leading indicators, and ensure equipment remains advanced for ten years.”

With a total investment of RMB 1.3 billion, the company has introduced internationally advanced energy-saving and environmental protection equipment. Through the application of multiple energy-saving and carbon reduction technologies, including activated coke dry desulfurization and denitrification, sintering flue gas internal circulation and blast furnace BPRT power generation, Yongyang Special Steel continues to explore emission reduction potential throughout production processes.

The company has also actively developed distributed photovoltaic projects across the plant, promoted electric heavy-duty trucks and optimized railway transportation systems. These initiatives can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by more than 500,000 tons annually.



The company has also established Hebei Province's first “5G + Fully Connected Digital Factory”, connecting more than 10,000 pieces of equipment. Production efficiency has increased by 25%, while overall energy consumption has been significantly reduced.

At the same time, a carbon emission management module has been integrated into the digital factory system, enabling carbon management to evolve from experience-based control to intelligent data-driven analysis.

Furthermore, relying on provincial-level R&D platforms and industry-university-research cooperation, Yongyang Special Steel has successfully developed green high-performance products such as long-life ultra-high-strength spring flat steel.

The company has completed carbon footprint verification for its flat steel products, released Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for four major product categories — rail steel, structural steel, round steel and flat steel — and actively participated in the development of green steel-related standards.

Through a series of green certifications and sustainable manufacturing initiatives, Yongyang Special Steel continues to strengthen its green brand competitiveness and support coordinated carbon reduction across the industrial supply chain.

With this certification as a new starting point, Yongyang Special Steel will continue to promote the effective implementation of its greenhouse gas management system, optimize carbon management processes, further explore energy-saving and emission-reduction opportunities throughout the production chain, and accelerate the research and application of green low-carbon technologies.
